After a long day out, I wish I could just dive into my bed the second I get home. If I’m not out for dinner, I will usually cook dinner at home and my routine is pretty much the same every night haha.
Jacob and Sophie take naps in the afternoon, mostly after Jacob’s class. During their naps I get to catch up with my work, blog, chores and etc. But sometimes I take naps with them too! In case Jacob or Sophie stays up late so I wouldn’t be too tired to accompany them.
On a daily basis, after dinner we will spend some family time watching TV or flash-card game for Jacob. I will then shower Sophie and put her into her baby cot, with her brother Jacob and daddy as companion.
Happy Sophie, feeling relaxed after her shower (she lovesssss shower time)
After that, it will be my ‘ME TIME’! (my favourite part of the day, preparing myself for bed haha) First I will remove all of my makeup. If my skin gets too dry, I will use some extra virgin olive oil as makeup remover. Put some oil on a cotton pad and gently massage the oil into your face to remove the makeup. You should notice your makeup dissolves quickly and powerful enough to remove any waterproof makeup! Great alternative for sensitive skin! 🙂
After that I will hop into the shower, sometimes I will make time for a quick home hair-treatment too! (Will share more next time!)
Next I’ll pat dry my hair, then proceed to my night skin care routine. At this point, I will be just too tired to do anything already. (hahaha anyone of you feel me?) Some skincare routine requires more than 5 steps to prepare your face to sleep (omg). And I always try to keep mine minimum and effective.
Previously I have shared my daytime routine with Olay day range. And recently I’ve been trying out their night products too! Steps are similar to morning routine so it’s just very simple!
Left: Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream Moisturiser NIGHT
Right: Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence
Apply two drops of Miracle Boost after toner.
Gently massage on palm and pat onto face.
Next, moisturiser. Do not skip this step as you lose water during your sleep. That’s why some people wake up to dry skin, especially in an air-conditioned room. Therefore you must keep your face hydrated with a moisturiser.
Product wise, this night moisturiser is very similar to the morning one but I personally think the texture is slightly thicker, better to keep skin hydrated for all night!
This product also has the highest concentration of Olay signature amino-peptide complex and Hydra-Firming Complex to hydrate all night long with one use. Plus it makes my skin feel soft and watery. Most importantly it doesn’t give sticky feeling!
Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting cream is designed as a anti-aging moisturizer that hydrates and renews to firm and lift, helping retain skin’s youthful surface contours. And I will concentrate on the areas like I’ve shown in picture above.
Gently massage the product onto face with an upward motion.
Spend some time to massage your face and equal amount of time on each side of your face.
In just 4 weeks, you should notice some difference on your face. I personally think that my wrinkles around the corner of my eyes have reduced and my face became more firmed.
Sounds like a long process right? But I really enjoy my night routine as I get to pamper myself, giving myself some thinking space. And by now, Sophie is already in her dreamland.
Look at her calm sleeping face 🙂
And Jacob requires some cuddling before he sleeps. Haha. Such a big baby!
Good night 🙂
