As a mother I want to see my child grow up faster, and want them to be independent. But sometimes I just wish I could freeze the time, kid please stop growing up so fast! How I missed Jacob as a little baby boy, cry so loud when he needs me. And he always follow me in and out! To shopping, to grocery store, to meeting my friends and etc.
Flashing back to the first day he arrived this world, I wonder from whom he got those eyelids. And his super chubby cheeks! Oh my god and his super loud cry! It could shake the whole hospital! That was my first impression of him. And he is 3 years old this year!
I know all boys love cars. Not sure if you guys have seen the clips of Jacob guessing the car brands… But he knows most of the car brands on the road! And everyday he can spend 1 hour just to play cars by his own. Therefore this year, I let Jacob choose his favourite cartoon character to be his birthday theme – Lightning McQueen.
If you watch the cartoon Cars before, McQueen car is from Radiator Springs. Thanks to my decorator (La Memoria), they brought the Radiator Springs town to my house. They always surprise me with their work each time I collaborate with them. My guests were really impressed with the 3D McQueen car that made from just cardboard!

Backdrop settled, and next would be my party dessert table. My guests have sweet tooth so I don’t usually worry about leftover haha. But look!

Kids express their feelings through many ways. Their emotions, actions and etc. At early age, I let Jacob to try a lot of things in order to increase his exposure of this world. Through observation and encouragement, I believe creativity is a skill parents can help to develop and it is a key component to health and happiness. So I thought, why not let the kids make their own McQueen car!
