5. Do something to contribute back!

After your spring cleaning, head on over to IPC Shopping Centre with your recyclable trash as the centre offers buy-back on items such as cardboard, plastics, magazines and newspapers, tins, metals and aluminium, with a minimum weight of 1kg.

This will definitely help preserve the habitat of our dear monkeys and other animal as well!

While at IPC, do get acquainted with their 5-element Monkeys:

  • Papa Jinxu (Metal)
  • Mama Tutti (Earth)
  • Big Brother Hoogan (Fire)
  • Little Brother Mutra (Wood)
  • Sister Shweedy (Water)

So I decided to visit the 5 Monkeys with Jacob and we loved each one of them. Plus, there were many activities and event happening there too! We loved the drum performances and DIY Flower Lights Workshop. And if you take a picture of yourself doing the Wackiest Monkey Pose, you can redeem and mystery gift and stand a chance to win shopping vouchers. Lucky too we were there on Saturday as they also offer special giveaways on that day!

Do check out their activities for children, performances and contest here: www.ipc.com.my/apey-new-year

6. Go for a short trip with your family

If you’re going back hometown have a safe journey and embrace the traffic jam. If you’re NOT then go for a short trip to chill and relax with your family around the KL.

7. Visit family and friends

CNY is the best time to have meals with family and friends and talk about business, life, children and nice places to eat.

These are the Top 7 things to do this CNY for me. What about you? Remember CNY is the time for sharing, giving back, spending time with your lovely family.

Have a prosperous Chinese New Year and may this Monkey year bring you all the happiness, joy and love.

Love, Shaine.
