Expecting 2nd Baby

Finally I have the time to blog about my pregnancy 🙂

Most of my friend asked me what is the difference between my first and second pregnancy?

Morning sickness
My first trimester when I had Jacob was very terrible, whatever I eat I vomit right after. Plus it wasn’t only in the morning, it happened during noon and night time too! And I hated the smell of fish 🙁 it really made me feel so sick…

For my second baby I have only night sickness, fortunately. I can eat a lot in the morning but at night I don’t feel like having anything. Surprisingly enough, I love fish! Now you know pregnancy can be so extreme! Haha, maybe this is one of the differences between my first and second baby. And most importantly I don’t have cravings for any food!!

Gaining weight
My last pregnancy I gained 25kg!! Not joking but after I gave birth to Jacob for about 2 and half months, my weight dropped to 43kg. Most of my friends asked how I lose weight, I guess traditional Malay massage works. Those of you who would like to try, bear in mind it is super painful and causes blue black after the massage. But no pain no gain!! So far this current pregnancy I didn’t gain much weight, I’m 25 weeks now and my weight is 51kg. Hope I won’t gain anymore weight on this pregnancy *fingers crossed*!

Which one is good, C-section or Natural birth?

I choose to have natural birth all these while. When I was in hospital ready for labor (Jacob), I remember vividly the contractions was as long as 20 hours! It started midnight 1am until the next day, around 8pm. But after 8 hours of contractions I gave in to epidural to reduce the pain. After the injection I had light fever 🙁 Doctor advised not to drink water or take any medicine, due to the side effect of the epidural. After 20 hours without liquid and food, and light fever, I was so drained and weak. Plus Jacob’s size at that time was too big for me to deliver. Doctor told me his head was in a wrong position so he suggested to have c-section!! After 20 minutes Jacob arrived this world!! Therefore this time, doctor suggested that I should have c-section for my second baby if the baby is up to 3kg. Well, we’ll see! 🙂

And now, the most anticipated one… Gender of my new baby.

I have been asking Jacob since the day I got pregnant of the gender of his new sibling. He always said firmly, Girl! Girl!! *how cute!*
Everyday he is gentle with my baby bump, telling me he is excited!! I’m so so proud of you Jacob. I’m sure you will grow up to be a big brother to your new..

In fact, we are celebrating Jacob’s 3rd birthday next week and I will share more about the birthday party in my next blog post.
